History of Douglas Wilson Companies

Douglas Wilson Companies was founded in 1989 to provide a wide range of specialized business, receivership, and real estate services to law firms, state and federal courts, corporations, partnerships, pension funds, REITs, financial institutions, and property owners throughout the United States. With offices in Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, Los Angeles/Orange County and Washington, DC, the Company is the largest business services entity of its kind, providing workout and problem resolution, crisis/force majeure response, asset management, consulting, business planning, receivership, development, entitlement, and construction management services. To date, receivership services have been provided in over 1,200 matters involving assets valued in excess of $15 billion.

Symphony Towers Delivered

Douglas Wilson was a general partner of this project from conception to completion of the development. This landmark continues to be a premier 1.2 million square foot, two-tower hotel and office complex in downtown San Diego. The project was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) and is built around the Symphony Hall.

Ocean Trails, a golf course in Palos Verdes, California that had a slope failure involving 18 acres. DWC oversaw the $35 million reconstruction and sold the project to Trump.

As a Co-Trustee of the liquidating trust and assets, DWC completes an orderly liquidation and sale of the remaining real estate assets of this public company.

A $60 million award-winning building with 120 one- and two-story residential lofts in San Diego’s East Village district. DWC negotiates the land purchase, develops the project concept and plans, coordinates land use and project approvals, secures financing, supervises construction, markets and sells the project.

DWC serves as Receiver disbursing agent under a loan forbearance agreement and executes various receivership services.
