Multiple properties located throughout California, Washington, and Hawaii, including a 2,500 acre farm used for the breeding of horses, llamas and alpacas.
Douglas Wilson Companies (DWC) was retained by counsel of the Loyal M. Nordstrom Estate (Estate) to evaluate the physical conditions, operations and overall value of the Estate’s real estate holdings.
DWC inspected each property of the Estate to determine its overall condition and market value. An investigation of implications associated with various zoning changes and restoration options for buildings identified with historical designations was conducted. The finances associated with the Estate’s farming operations were analyzed, including the retention and supervision of all farm personnel. An investigation was performed on litigation associated with the properties, the Estate’s insurance coverage, and all income and payroll tax filings. To arrange the sale of properties, DWC engaged real estate brokers in all three states.
DWC assisted the Estate with various property sales and recommendations for farming operations.
