Project Description:
A two-level, 675,716-square-foot regional shopping mall in Long Beach, California, built in 1982 by The Hahn Company.


Scope of Work:
Appointed Receiver by the Superior Court. Responsible for overseeing all property operations, including property management, leasing, and marketing. Represented the ownership and lender in negotiations with the City of Long Beach Redevelopment Agency regarding the redevelopment of the property. Assisted in the acquisition of the Montgomery Ward store and the sale of the note encumbering the property in December 1999. In early 2001, work began on a $160 million redevelopment program for the property that included 328 residential units, a 138-room hotel, and 475,000 square feet of retail space, anchored by Wal-Mart, Ross, Sav-On, and Found Theatre.
