On September 14, 2011, Douglas P. Wilson was appointed as Receiver on 7.68 acres of land in Chicago, Illinois.  And on September 20, 2011, Douglas P. Wilson was appointed as Receiver on a 12,960 square foot land parcel in Seattle, Washington.

Update: Tuscan Hills Luxury Community in Las Vegas

On August 5, 2011, Douglas P. Wilson was appointed as Receiver of Tuscan Cliffs, a luxury residential community in Las Vegas. Additional details regarding the scope of the project and future plans are outlined below.

The property consists of a partially completed high-end, gate-guarded residential subdivision planned for 155 single family homes known as Tuscan Cliffs, located within the Southern Highlands master planned community, and approximately 16.5 acres of raw undeveloped land known as Sierra Madre.

The scope of the Order is to secure, preserve and manage the receivership property. This will include continuing maintenance services (utilities, landscape, pool, security, etc.), serving on the HOA Board for the neighborhood, reviewing the project’s obligations to the Master Association, evaluating the status of permits and entitlements, as well as preserving any permits and entitlements providing value to the property, reviewing encumbrances on title and making recommendations for their disposition, and determining if any portion or all of the property could and/or should be sold.

The subdivision was planned to present two product lines:

  • Tuscan Cliffs, on the lower 111 lots of this terraced property, consists of one completed and furnished model home ready for sale (“Lot 5”) and 77 improved lots. Thirty-one (31) of the Tuscan Cliffs lots were built and sold by the Defendant prior to the Receiver’s appointment and are outside of the receivership estate.
  • The Bluffs, on the upper 44 lots with spectacular views of the Las Vegas Strip, consists of three unfurnished model homes that are approximately 95% complete, one partially constructed production home, 27 improved lots and 13 partially improved lots. Base square footage of the homes range from approximately 5800 to 6450 SF.
